Hanjin handled the most stevedoring record in Inchon
Hanjin Corporation did the lion's share of stevedoring in the Port of Inchon, and Korea Express made the most money in the same place.
Inchon Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries reported on Feb. 8 that among 10 registered stevedoring companies in Inchon, Hanjin handled cargoes total of 13,794,000 tons, becoming the company to handle the largest amount of cargoes for three consecutive years since 1998.
Korea Express handled the second largest amount with 11,568,000 tons. Sunkwang followed with 8,180,000 tons, and Youngjin Corporation with 6,792,000. Uryoun Express recorded 4,306,000 tons, and Dongbu Express 3,406,000 tons.
As for income, Korea Express earned 31.35 billion won, staying on top for three years in a row, while Hanjin Corp. made 24.55 billion won. Sunkwang recorded 23.69 billion won, and Dongbu Construction 22.24 billion won.
A total of 10 stevedoring companies and 13 partial stevedoring firms handled 75,482,000 tons of cargoes in the Port of Inchon, bringing in 209.63 billion won in sales
