Taskforce team in operation to improve logistic flow in Pusan

The Pusan and South Kyoungsang province Regional Tax Offices setup a taskforce on May 3 to troubleshoot problems hindering logistic flows and increasing costs during the customs clearance processes, i.e., from import cargo entry to the arrival bonded cargoes.

The taskforce team consists of concerned workers from shipping companies, bonded transportation companies, trading companies, and container yard companies as well as officials from the tax offices.

An official at the tax office said, "Though we have been building and operating an electronic document interchange (EDI) system for sea freight since the end of 1997, there are plenty of things left to be improved. We are going to grasp the problems step by step and fix them."
