The kanoo Group Appoints New Kanoo Shipping Agencies Manager, UAE & Oman

Kanoo Shipping Agencies, a division of the Kanoo Group, has appointed
David Barker as the new Manager of Kanoo Shipping Agencies in UAE and
Oman. David has taken over from Bill Anderson who recently retired to
New Zealand after a long career with Kanoo in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Bas
ed in London for the last five years, David represented Kanoo and seve
ral other shipping agencies in the European market. Prior to that he w
as based In Asia for 13 years with Jardine Shipping Agencies Taiwan, S
ingapore and Hong Kong, and also previously worked in Muscat and Bahra
in. The Kanoo Shipping Agencies Division is broadly based throughout t
he Red Sea and Gulf. Kanoo offer regional agency coverage to owners, t
raders and charterers, with cental communications and accounting and o
perational co-ordination. The Group also operate fast, modern launch s
ervices based in Fujairah, to rendezvous with vessels off port limits.
