OOCL further enhances Setouchi/Kyushu-Taiwan/HongKong Express (STX) Se
Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced that it will further enhance its SetouchiKyushu-Taiwan/Hongkong Express (STX) service.
In December OOCL will replace the three 270-teu vessels currently on that service with two 350-teu vessels that offer faster transit times. The company will also add a direct call at HongKong thus opening up a new market for customers.
Initially a weekly service will be operated calling at the ports of Shibushi, Hososhima, Kokura, Shimonoseki, Mizushima, Matsuyama, Hiroshima, Keelung, Kaohsiung and HongKong.
OOCL began making direct calls at Setouchi/Kyushu in 1995, and was the first international liner to do so. The ports in the Setouchi/Kyushu area are part of OOCL’s Japan nitche port network.
“We will continue to invest in and improve our services t o this area in the tradition of OOCL’s quality approach to service,” said Mr. Stephen Ng, Director of Intra - Asia Trade, OOCL (Asia Pacific ) Limited.
