Team Lines Provides Felixstowe with Another Weekly Riga Link

The Port of Felixstowe now has another weekly link with the Latvian
port of Riga following the announcement by the German shipping line,
Team Lines, that it would include Felixstowe in its newly extended sch
edule. Team Lines' 205TEU vessel, Marianne, made its inaugural call a
t the Port of Felixstowe on Wednesday 25 August. This is the first ti
me Team Lines has called at a UK terminal and Felixstowe is the UK sol
e port of call for this newly extended service.
The rotation of the new Team Lines service is Felixstowe, Bremerhave
n, Hamburg, Riga, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Felixstowe and operates on a fix
ed day basis. Team Lines says it is targeting UK exporters with cargo
to ship to Latvia as well as offering feeder options to Felixstowe's
deepsea customers.
In the words of Felixstowe's Managine Director, Chris Gray: "We are
delighted that Team Lines has chosen Felixstowe as its UK port of call
on its newly extended European service. It strengthens the port's pos
ition as a prime UK gateway for cargo moving to and from the Baltic."
