Maersk-Sealand will participate in Safari
The updated Safari service, which from April will include Safmarine, Mitsui-OSK, K Line, MISC and us, will also include Laem Chabang in its new schedule.
The decision by P&O/Nedlloyd to withdraw from the service will not affect the frequency of the service. Safari will remain a nine ship service and run on a named-day sailing schedule. P&O/Nedlloyd will withdraw its two ships from the existing Safari as of April 1st, and will be replaced by our vessels.
The new Safari service will be as follows:
Westbound service will call at Yokohama, Kobe, Busan, Keelung, Hong Kong, Laem Chabang, Singapore, Port Kelang, Port Elizabeth. Eastbound will be Port Elizabeth, Durban, Capetown, Durban, Port Kelang, Singapore, Keelung, Yokohama.
Safmarine will be the major vessel provider with three ships, we will provide two, as will Mitsui-OSK. K Line and MISC will provide one each.
