Speed boat and Car ferry newly added in Korea/Japan trade
Korea and Japan working level officials officially agreed to deploy a newly built speed boat and car ferry in Korea and Japan trade in preparation for the 2002 World Cup in Tokyo.
Two speed boats and one car ferry will be added in the trade to be ready for active personnel exchanges. Though two speed boats in Pusan/ Hakada are now in operation, the two countries decided to put in one vessel for each country to meet the demand.
Panstarline.com, which will handle Pusan/Osaka, is also scheduled to put an 11,500 TEU car ferry in the trade three times a week in the first half of this year, hoping to contribute to bilateral interchange increases between Pusan, and the Osaka and Kobe areas.
