Hanjin Shipping Begins Direct Yantian Call on All Water East Coast

Hanjin Shipping has expanded its direct port call offerings by adding Yantian to its All Water East Coast Pendulum (AWE-PDM) service. The new direct call at Yantian will offer one call per week with fast and efficient connections improving Hanjin Shipping's global network.

The first Hanjin Shipping vessel to serve the Port of Yantian will be the 2,700 TEU-class Berlin Senator, sailing from Pusan to Yantian on January 20, 2001. "As a consequence of the improved economic outlook in China, this new call to Yantian will enable Hanjin Shipping to offer broader scope of services, optimising connections to Hanjin Shipping's services covering Asia, Europe, and North America, with most competitive transit times."said a Hanjin spokesman.

The All Water East Coast Pendulum (AWE-PDM) service provides weekly fixed-day service with thirteen 2,700 TEU vessels calling the following ports/rotation: Yantian -Hong Kong-Kaohsiung -Pusan -Manzanillo (Mexico) -Manzanillo (Panama) -Savannah -Norfolk -New York-Felixstowe-Bremerhaven-Rotterdam -Le Havre -New York -Norfolk - Manzanillo (Panama) - Manzanillo (Mexico) -Long Beach-Pusan -Yantian
