A total of 8 container vessels are being put in Korea/China trade after the Korea/China Maritime council decisions in August to deploy additional container vessels.
Originally, the Korea/China Maritime council decision in August was to deploy 16 container vessels in this trade, with 8 container vessels from each country.
Among Korean shipping companies, Sinokor merchant marine deployed the 431 TEU "Yun Fung" in Pusan-Ulsan-Kwangyang-Shanghai, and Korea Marine Transport Co., put the "John Wulff" in Pusan-Ningbo-Shanghai at the end of September. Namsung Shipping put the "Happy Star" into Pusan-Masan-Kwangyang-Quingdao-Lianyungang October 6th.
Heung-A shipping deployed the "Heung-A Incheon" in Pusan-Yeocheon-Kwangyang-Shanghai-Ningbo.
Among Chinese shipping companies, China Shipping sailed the "Atlantic Patroller" and "Xiang Tu" in the middle of September, Sinotrans, the "Ocean Term", SITC has already put the "Tian Yan" into service, and Ningbo Federation is sailing the "Ming Zhou 22".
In the case of Korea shipping companies, Tongyoung Shipping, Pan Con Shipping, CK Line, and Hyundai Merchant Marine are deploying one vessel each.
By putting many container vessels in this trade, tariff rates will go down under $200, regardless of the Korea/China trade guideline of $350.
