Evergreen realigns and improves transit times on its Caribbean services
Evergreen has realigned its three intra-Caribbean routes, effective 1 July, 2001.
The CAN (Caribbean North) service will have fixed day weekly sailings commencing at the Colon Container Terminal in Panama and with the following port rotation:
Colon - Puerto Limon - Colon - San Juan - Rio Haina - Kingston - Colon.
This service will utilise two newly refurbished B-class ships of 550TEU capacity.
The CAS (Caribbean South) service will call at Colon, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Curacao, Puerto Cabello, La Guiara, Cartagena, Barranquilla and Colon. Using two 600TEU capacity H-type vessels on a weekly fixed day service, this route has been designed with the possibility of future expansion.
The CAX (Caribbean Express) service will use one B-type ship on a weekly fixed day service between Colon and Rio Haina.
Cargo to and from other global destinations will be transshipped to Round the World Eastbound and Westbound weekly services via Colon.
