The CFS, measuring 1,300 pyoung, is equipped to handle 4,300 tons of cargoes at one time and a total of 260,000 tons of cargoes annually. The customs office will handle customs clearance processes, allowing LCL and Consolidation cargoes to pack containers and store them in warehouses.
The CFS is expected to secure as much as 43,000 tons of cargoes in its first operating year, trying to attract shippers from the Youcheon Industrial Complex as well as shippers in Kyoungin and central Korea.
The company is planning to expand Kwangyang as a transit cargo center between China and Japan, China and North America, and between China and Europe.
