Heung-A celebrates 40th anniversary
Heung-A Shipping celebrated its 40th anniversary December 8, 2001. The Heung-A headquarters in Seoul, as well as the Pusan and Inchon branches held their own commemorative ceremonies.
Mr. Lee Youn-jae, CEO of Heung-A Shipping, stressed "It has been a time of great change over the last 40 years for Korea as a maritime country. And the next 40 years will be a time for further change, a rebirth for Heung-A as a world class total logistic company." He also requested that Heung-A employees to do their best towards this end. He expressed his appreciation to shippers as well as former and present employees for their cooperation and dedication.
Fifty-one people were awarded for their achievements at the company. The best employee award went to Kang Seung-ho, the chief mate of Heung-A Hong Kong.
