ISAA puts PSS into effect

Except one member, all ISAA(Informal South Asia Agreement) lines reported either no negative feedback received or quite/very positive feedback from the market.
The implementation of Peak Season Surcharges(PSS) of $100/TEU effective on August 18 for areas other than Japan and September 1 for Japan was expected optimistic because members' vessel utilization was high. Some members even faced space problem and still had rolled over cargo in South East Asia waiting for connection. It was noted that non-ISAA members would also implement the PSS that would be a critical factor for the success of PSS.
Various LWC(Local Working Committee) meeting would be organized soon to make sure smooth implementation at local levels and the Chair lines would forward the meeting notes to all members for reference.
