OOCL Announces Asia-India-Middle East Service (AIM)
OOCL announced that a new Asia-India-Middle East Service (AIM) will be launched effective on 11 November 2006, by taking slots from Emirates Shipping Line.
OOCL’s new service will provide direct linkage and additional frequency between China, South East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East.
It will offer extensive coverage of the Middle East and India, with the ports of Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Klang, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Dammam, and Abu Dhabi.
Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed Orient Overseas (International) Ltd. OOCL headquartered in Hong Kong, is an international container transportation and logistics service provider. Linking Asia, Europe, North America, the Mediterranean, the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and Australia/New Zealand, the company offers transportation services to all major east/west trading economies of the world. OOCL is one of the leading international carriers serving China, providing a full range of logistics and transportation services throughout the country.
