Supporting facility for Busan Jinhae Free Economic Zone

Supporting facility to secure effective management of a variety of facilities in Busan Jinhae Free Economic Zone and offer various services for tenant companies is planed to be built at the end of next year.

BPA announced on November 8 that it decided to build the facility around the southen part of North Container Terminal of New Port with \ 10 billion total construction costs. The facility, 9-story building including one basement floor on 6,509㎡ land, will start to be built by February next year, housing BPA New Port blanch, exhibition hall, financial facility, pharmacy and cafeteria etc.

A BPA official said that the location of the facility was decided after taking into consideration the efficient management of the planed free economic zone of Southern Container Terminal.

The Distri-park of New Port was designated as Free Economic Zone at the end of 2004 and total 8 logistics companies are planed to move in the zone until the first half of next year.
