Evergreen Enhances Presence in India

Evergreen India Pvt. Ltd. has opene d five new offices in the fast growing Indian market. This gives Evergreen a total of 11 offices in India, enabling it to provide an ext remely high level of local service to cus tomers in this increasingly impo rtant market. Evergreen India Pvt. Ltd. was established in April 2004 as a wholly-owned affiliate of Taiwan's Evergreen Group.

The five new offices, located in Kolkata, Haldia, Kandla, Ahmedabad and Bangalore, will open on October 1, 2005. This gives Evergreen a total of 11 offices in India, with existing offices in Mumbai, Nhava Sheva, New Delhi, Cochin, Tuticorin and Chennai. Evergreen India Pvt. Ltd. also represents Evergreen Marine Corporation (Taiwan) Ltd. and Hatsu Marine Ltd. in India.

Previously, the Evergreen Group was represented in these five locations by Greenways Shipping Agencies. In order to maintain continuity with customers and to ensure a smooth transition of business, Evergreen India will be staffed by many former Greenway employees.
