Dongbu opens new wharf at Dangjin Port

Dongbu Express announced on April 10 that it started the first operation of its 50,000 tonne multipurpose wharf at Dangjin Port. The new wharf opened on April 4.

This wharf is 280 meters long, covers 41,000 pyoung of hinterland with two harbor cranes, and can process 1,400,000 tonnes of cargo annually. It handles general cargoes in addition to raw materials for Dongbu Steel.

It is located near Songak IC on the west coast expressway, and Dongbu Express expects that companies in central Korea such as those in the Bugok industrial complex and Pyongtaek will use the wharf.

The company will open four more berths in Dangjin Port, offering various services including port stevedoring, storage and transportation.
