MCC's IA8 to call at Busan and Vladivostok

In view of the escalating bunker costs and the deteriorating market fundamentals affecting all carriers, MCC Transport have decided to reschedule its Intra Asia 8 (IA-8) service.

The revised IA-8 service will not cover Japan for the time being; however MCC said that it will continue to review the situation and resume coverage when market conditions allow. Its other services covering Japan will continue doing so.

The revised IA-8 service will run on a 35-day rotation as follows: Tanjung Pelepas Singapore Jakarta Surabaya Davao Shanghai Busan Vladivostok Busan Shanghai Xiamen Yantian Hong Kong Tanjung Pelepas. The first sailing for IA-8 will be M.V. Amundsen (4DJ, voy 1108) expected to depart Davao on June 5th, 2011. <Korea Shipping Gazette>
