Hanjin shipping records 2.62 trillion won in sales

Hanjin Shipping earned 77 billion won in sales profits during the first half this year.
Total sales for the period rose by 20.4% to 2.6245 trillion won compared to the same period of last year thanks to increased cargo numbers and rates recovery.
Containers reached 2.667 trillion won in business with a 25% increase over the same period of last year, while bulk and other areas showed a 5.9% growth to 557.8 billion won.
Sales profits recorded 77 billion won, for an increase of over 18 times compared to 3.9 billion won last year. These growths sprang from cargo increases from China and throughout Asia as well as rates recovery. Continuous streamlining processes also supported profits.
Net profits for the term marked 34.4 billion won and exchange rates variation during the period brought in profits of 16.1 billion won from the end of last year.
