Joo Sung Sea & Air President, Jin Soo Park(Right) and Korean Air Busan Branch manager, Eon Yong Sung signed the air cargo charter agreement to reinforce and enhance the air flight logistics for USA trade,i.e, Incheon-Los Angeles leg.
They will launch the B-777F every Wednesday morning from September until the end of November for the first time among all Korean NVOCCs and stride the highly advanced consolidation services at Incheon International Logistics Center(IILC). destined to Los Angeles by the local and inbounding from Asian regions such as India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and China to Incheon.
The main purpose to prepare this preemptive investments is to cope with uncertain and unforeseeable foreign variable market situations and timely provision for the high demand season of the United States.
Especially, they believe that the investment can meet the US trade disputes with China and the frequent increases in freight rates which are fluctuating and still on the way as well as considering the oil price and the exchange rate, the uncertainty of the market and believe to achieve the new steps of growth of the company in the air division besides ocean logistics this year.
In addition, they are planning to handle these cargoes arriving in Los Angeles to the inland points and the other major western parts of the United States by connecting to the other local flights on the basis of the accumulated experiences, know-hows and close relationships of multimodal services with the US partners and will expand the service ranges to the Latin America such as Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia in view of latent profitable routes and will leap forward to the leading company in this field continuously.
They already transported about 1300 flights(1600tons) by air from January to May this year, sending more than 90 percent of the total cargo to the western United States and believe that they will come true their new projects successfully.
