Agility India Wins Best Pharmaceuticals Logistics Provider

Agility, a leading global logistics provider, received Best Logistics Service Provider for Pharmaceuticals at the 2016 Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMPro) Logistics Service Provider Awards in India.

Agility India was recognized for mastering the complexities of pharmaceutical logistics with special recognition going to the company’s temperature-controlled storage facility in Nhava Sheva, Jawaharlal Nehru Port, and to its suite of IT solutions, including a web-based track-and-trace service that allows customers to monitor freight movements in real time.

The SCMPro Logistics Service Provider Awards honors successful Indian logistics businesses with a focus on sustainability strategy, performance and goals. The awards recognize companies innovating in pharmaceutical logistics, based on ideas and actions that make a positive, measurable and sustainable difference. At the port, southeast of Mumbai, Agility has developed a Pharma Competence Center.

The 300-square- meter facility is fully pharma compliant, Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certified, and C-TPAT compliant, offering secured cold chain storage, consolidation, and refrigerated LCL services to Europe. Agility offers Life Sciences customers passive and active temperature-controlled shipping with monitoring that maintains product integrity and offers full visibility in addition to timely delivery.
