Cosco to take delivery of Asia's first 10,000-TEU ship

COSCO is preparing to take delivery next month of Asia's first 10,000-TEU container ship, built at the Hyundai Heavy Industries'(HHI) yard in Ulsan, South Korea.

Christened the Cosco Asia, it is the first of four similar-sized mega vessels to be constructed at HHI's shipyard.

The last of the four ships from this series is scheduled for delivery by the middle of next year.

All of Cosco? container ships of 6,000 TEU and greater have been built by HHI.
