[ OOCL Sweeps Double Recognition in Canada ]

On 17 November, the Central Division of the Canadian International Fre
ight Forwarder’s Association (CIFFA) named OOCL the “Ocean Carrier o
f the Year 1999” and the number one carrier for “Outstanding Service
and Commitment Between Toronto and Europe in 1999”at its annual carr
ier’s night reception in Toronto. Representing OOCL to receive the aw
ards, David Watson, Vice-President of OOCL (Canada) Inc. said, “we fe
el proud and extremely honoured to have received not only one, but two
of these coveted awards of recognition from our customers in the forw
arding industry. These awards truly represent the fruition of OOCL’s

The CIFFA awards specifically recognize the outstanding service and co

and the Middle East/Africa. And the most prestigious designation of
“Ocean Carrier of the Year”is granted to the best overall carrier me
eting the forwarding industry’s high service standards and requiremen
ts.
