Mt. Kumgang Water Has Been Taken into the Domestic Market
The delivery of Mt. Kumgangsan water to South Korea is the first coope
ration project since the historial inter Korean summit. It entered the
market via the Port of Tonghae. According to the ministry of Maritime
Affairs and Fisheries (MOMAF), Dongnama Line transported 500 tons of
the Mt. Kumgangsan water, which is belived to contain wild ginsengs an
d young antlers, on June 16. It used the sightseeing trade, connecting
Tonghae and Jangjeon.
Dongnama Line plans to take in 3000 tons of water three times a month
using the Kyutong, 2,300 ton vessel.
This water was produced by the Mt. Kumgangsan joint corporation (the C
hosun Nungla 888 trading company in North Korea and Taechang in South
Korea) and will be sold by Dongwon Co. to sell in the domestic market.
