Uti worldwide names computer sciences’ Leon J. Level to board of directors
Uti worldwide Inc. announced on Feb. 5th the appointment of Leon J. Level, vice
president and chief financial officer of Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:
CSC), to the Uti board of directors. Level is also a member of CSC's board of
directors.
Level, 60, expands the total number of Uti directors to seven, three of whom
are independent directors. The addition of Level is in line with Uti's plan,
since its shares commenced trading in the United States in November 2000, to
add independent directors.
"Lee Level's global corporate background, spanning 30 years, makes him an
excellent addition to our board of directors," said Roger MacFarlane, Uti's
chief executive officer. "As chief financial officer of CSC, a $ 10 billion
information services powerhouse with 61,000 employees in locations worldwide,
Lee brings a great breadth and depth of experience to our company. In addition,
he will provide significant insight in the areas of technology development,
consulting, outsourcing, global accounting and related issues. We look forward
to benefiting from his contributions, guidance and counsel."
Prior to joining CSC's senior management team in 1989, Level served as vice
president and treasurer with Unisys Corporation and previously held those same
positions with Burroughs Corporation. He also served in a variety of financial
positions with The Bendix Corporation.
A Certified Public Accountant, Level began his career at Deloitte & Touche,
rising to the level of principal. He holds both Bachelor's and Master's degree
in business administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
