Evergreen establishes a new agency company in a joint venture with its former agent

Evergreen Marine Corporation of Taiwan has established a new company in Thailand together with its former agent Green Siam Co Ltd. With effect from 1 March 2001, this new company, Evergreen Star (Thailand) Co Ltd, will take over representation duties for both Evergreen and Uniglory Marine Corporation throughout Thailand.

Mr Max Peng, formerly with Evergreen in Taipei and in Hamburg, has been appointed President of the new company while Mr Nivat Changariyavong, formerly Managing Director of Green Siam Co Ltd, is the Executive Chairman of the new company.
