Uniglory Launched the 9th P-type Vessel, Uni-Probity

Uniglory Marine Corp christened and launched its nineth P-type full containership at the Evergreen Shipyard in Nagasaki on March 27.

Y F Loh, chairman of UGMC, named the new vessel " Uni-Prrobity" while Mrs. Leslie L.Dale, wife of the President of Great Western Steamsip Co., Mr. R. William Dale, cut the ropes in the ceremony.

The ship is scheduled to be delivered in June 2001 and will join Uniglory's Far East/Middle East fixed-day service. Uniglory has ordered ten P-type ships, all being built by the Evergreen Shipyard in Nagasaki. The P-type has a capacity for 1,618 TEU. She has an overall length of 182 meters, a width of 28 meters, a draft of 9 meters and a service speed of 18.7 knots.
