Hanjin Heavy Industries receives two container ship orders
Hanjin Heavy Industries announced March 7 that it received $100 million worth of orders for two 4,350 TEU container vessels from Hansa Shipping Gmbh, a container carrier in Germany.
These container vessels are 280.2 meters long, 21.5 meters deep, and 32.2 meters wide, serving 24.5 knots. This vessel series is well known as being a key vessel for fleets as evinced by Hanjin receiving over 10 vessel orders from European shipbuilders last year.
Hanjin said that it recorded total $350 million with 6 vessel orders coming in this year, following four 5,750 TEU container vessel orders last month.
Hanjin Heavy Industries currently has two and half years of work left, amounting to $1.5 billion worth of orders for 33 vessels.
