The Port of Pyoung-taek kicked off construction for its fifth berth in the general wharf on Feb. 7th and is scheduled to complete it by the end of 2003.
Pyoung-taek city announced on Feb. 6th that the fifth berth, which will be able to accommodate 30,000 ton sized vessels in its 96,000 square meters of general wharf, will be built by POSCO.
POSCO now has been using the first berth the government built for its dedicated terminal since 1998, and will return this fifth berth to the government if it is completed.
