South East Asian Market Getting Worse for Co-loading Rates
Co - Loading cargo discount rates to South East Asia created a big pro
blem among the related industries. The Korea International Freight For
warder Association (KIFFA) suggested that forwarders might receive fro
m shippers the same co-loading rates to South East Asia as previously
in order to make a progress in freight forwarder industries.
Related authorities pointed out that competition in the rates to the S
outh East Asian market involving Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila, Jakarta
and Japan had reached dangerous levels. There seem to be no counterme
asures for this serious rate cutting.
The authorities of KIFFA said that these terrible rate cuts cause the
market to be paralyzed. They are worried that it could possibly spread
to the Americas and Europe.
