The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is pursuing advance orders on 63 percent, or 58 cases, in the first quarter of this year co-sting 474.1 billion won out of next year's essential port construction businesses, counting 84 cases worth 750.9 billion won.The other construction, 26 building cases, 276.8 billion worth, is also ordered in advance for the second quarter of this year, to trigger a regional economy boom and employ some 9,000 laborers.
MOMAF ordered the contract period to be shortened to 15 days from over 30 days, as in the past year, and blueprints to be drawn up beginning this December to prepare for advance order construction without hesitation.
MOMAF added the Cheju outerport and Seokwipo to construction projects to develop the cities for international tourism. MOMAF is set to build a breakwater in the Cheju outerport and a berth in Seogwipo next year.
