Korea Express handles China Shipping transit cargoes

Korea Express revealed on May 8 that it contracted with China Shipping to unload and transport its cargoes in the Port of Pusan.

Korea Express a year earlier introduced China Shipping transit cargoes, which formerly used the Port of Kobe, to the Port of Kwangyang and followed to make a contract for handling China Shipping cargoes in the Port of Pusan. It is speculated that Korea Express may now have exclusive rights to treat China Shipping cargoes through domestic ports.

Korea Express anticipated increasing container cargoes by 200,000 TEU in the first year and by 300,000 TEU in their second year. Sales should swell two to three times over the current level, increasing revenues by 20 billion won in the first year and 30 billion won in the second year.
