Masan MOMAF drives to open additional Danong and Singapore trade
The Masan Regional Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries aggressively marketed to add more container trades.
The Masan Regional MOMAF office recently announced its vision to become a leading import and export port in North and Southeast Asia. It is currently looking into launching services bound for Dandong in China and Singapore container trade ports.
The regional agency, which currently operates ten service trades in Japan and China routes, planned to attract transit cargoes from the Middle East, India, and North Africa as well as Northeastern and South China.
Dandong in China are provided with a weekly service from Doowoo shipping between Pusan and Dandong. The Masan Regional MOMAF office confirmed callings at the Port of Masan for Doowoo shipping only if it secured around 30 TEU on a weekly basis. Therefore South Kyoungsang province plans to build a service trade in early November after surveying the import and export cargo amounts bound for Northeast China.
It also tried to open trade service routes in Shanghai as well as Singapore in order to lure transit cargoes. The Shanghai service will be a whole China service and the other for transit services in unopened service trades such as the Middle East and India.
