X-ray machines for containers in Inchon
Inchon Customs decided to introduce container x-ray machines to swiftly search imports and prevent smuggling.
X-rays for container will be installed in the second half next year in the 8.500 square meter container yard between the fourth and fifth harbor. By not having to open containers, Inchon Customs will be able to search between 20 and 30 containers an hour. The x-ray machines are expected to be ordered by Inchon and Pusan together. They are currently in operation in 10 other countries, including the US and Belgium.
