Lloyd Triestino adds Track and Trace facility to its website
The Italian container shipping line Lloyd Triestino has upgraded its internet website with a new facility that enables its customers to track the current status of their shipments via either the bill of lading number or the container number.
The new application has been introduced in response to customer demand and is a key element in an LT programme that is aimed at continual improvement of the company’s e-commerce capabilities.
Customers can now establish the physical location of their cargo and see at a glance the estimated time of arrival at the ultimate port of destination.
To obtain the required information, all that customers need to do is to click on the “Cargo Tracking” link on the LT website (www.lloydtriestino.it) and then enter the reference number, either the bill of lading number or the container number. The screen then displays the basic information relating to the shipment and the container moves, which are constantly updated by the system. These include the port of loading, departure date, vessel name, voyage number, the scheduled port of discharge and date of arrival at destination. In case of transhipment to another vessel, details of the connecting voyages are also displayed.
