OT Africa Line appoints new trade manager for Germany

OT Africa Line (OTAL), the specialist West African carrier, has appointed Kai Stockmann as its trade manager for Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia, effective as of 1 January 2002.
Working as part of the commercial sales team, Mr Stockmann will be based in OTAL’s German office.
Mr Stockmann joins OTAL from Bertling, MSC’s liner shipping agency, where he held the position of general sales manager covering a wide range of markets and commodities. Before joining Bertling in 1991, Mr Stockmann worked for Paul Guenther Liner Agencies in Hamburg.
Commenting on the new appointment, Thierry Le Roux, OTAL’s managing director, stated:
“The appointment of Kai Stockmann is good news for OTAL. He brings with him substantial experience in the liner agency business and his global overview of the market will be of great benefit to us, as will his experience of handling a large customer portfolio. He will be an asset to the existing team already working in our German office.”
