HMM invests on 'inland logistic base'

HMM is focusing on domestic inland logistic base for service improvements.

HMM revealed they invested about 2 billion won in the 'Yong Dang container inland logistic base' so that it can handle 215 thousands TEU yearly.

New stevedoring equipment that can load in 5 steps made it possible. HMM expanded prerequisite power sources plug from 44 to 612, a big jump in order to keep a reefer container. They also installed a self-power generator to enhance safety for freezer container cargoes.

This investment in the Yong Dang logistic base allows HMM to handle domestic customers' container cargoes more quickly, safely, and also lets them save on costs.
