Dongbu Construction participates in northern development project
The Port of Inchon project seems to have developed a new turning point as Dongbu Construction announced that it will take part in the Inchon Northern Port development project.
Dongbu Construction said, "We submitted a document and plan to build three berths in the Inchon Northern Port to Inchon Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries on May 12."
The document proposes developing wharf facilities, logistic storage, and container yards with an investment of 250 billion won. Construction is planned to start February 2002 and be completed by 2007.
Meanwhile, Dongguk Steel and Inchon Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. will complete three berths for 50,000-ton vessels sometime this June.
Dongbu Construction said, "We submitted a document and plan to build three berths in the Inchon Northern Port to Inchon Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries on May 12."
