KEPCO selects transport companies for overseas materials

The Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) chose forwarders in charge of cargo supply overseas. On-line cargo Co. will cover power transmission and distribution materials for the Americas, World Express take care of Europe, while Japan and other areas will be under Dongbu Construction and Jaju for two years.

These companies will carry KEPCO cargoes worth 280 million won for two years starting from May 17 after signing contracts.

An official at KEPCO said, "These companies, topping four were selected from their annual results." Each division will choose its own transport company; we only selected four companies, less than the fifteen companies we chose in 1999, he added.

These forwarders for KEPCO overseas materials are selected every two years.
