TNT Post Group records 25.5 percent increase in net profits

TNT Post Group (TPG), a global express, logistics & mail service group, posted a 25.5 percent increase to 526 million Euro (658 billion won) in net profits in 2000 compared to a year earlier, far exceeding expectations.

TPG showed outstanding results in sales and net incomes in 2000. Profit growth rates outdid sales growth rates in three major areas: mail, express, and logistics. The mail business saw high profitability in spite of the Dutch domestic postal market's slack, while express mail recorded a 17.2 percent rise in the wake of the strong pound and Asian market recovery. Logistics sales increased 43.2 percent after taking over CTI Logistix.
