Hanjin Shipping named best carrier by KSA
The Korea Shippers Association (KSA) presented its outstanding ocean-going container carrier award to Hanjin Shipping, a Korea based global container transportation and logistics group, on Dec. 28.
The award was accepted by Choi WonPyo, vice president of Hanjin Shipping. The event is a first by the Korea Shippers Association. It was held in celebration of its opening homepage.
Hanjin was recognized for its excellent North America and Europe bound services, rates competitiveness, convenient schedule, and on-time shipments. "This award is intended to inform shippers on which lines are safer, offer excellent services, and to further establish tighter relationships between shippers and liners." Said a KSA official.
Out of the near sea going carriers, the Korea Marine Transportation Co. (KMTC) was presented the best near sea carrier award. This carrier received top marks for its transportation service and rates levels. Dongsuh Shipping received the award for best forwarder, getting good scores in both the service and convenience categories.
The KSA surveyed 900 trading companies to select the best carrier and forwarder for the month of November.
In the survey, Korean shippers placed the most importance on rates when they chose liners, and put service quality on the top when they selected forwarders.
