Hanjin Shipping achieves company-wide ISO14001 certification and commits to safety and environmenta
Hanjin Shipping's long-term commitment to safety & quality management was demonstrated by the achievement of company-wide ISO 14001 certification.
The certification covers Hanjin Shipping's management in accordance with the requirements of the environmental standards and operational scope in maritime transportation & logistics services. Hanjin Shipping has been certified by BVQI (Bureau Veritas Quality International ).
A ceremony was held at Hanjin Shipping's head office in Seoul with over 100 guests including Hanjin Shipping President, C.K. Kim, BVQI Korea President, Mr. B.H. Oh and other representatives from the industry and media. This achievement has added to Hanjin Shipping's global list of certifications.
Hanjin Shipping's safety & quality journey began in 1994 with ISO 9002 and ISM Code. With the addition of company-wide ISO 14001, it highlights the Company's continued commitment to improving the standard of services provided to its customers.
"The achievement of ISO 14001 certification has helped us implement a sound and solid management system and is a result of the company's long term commitment to safety, environmental protection and quality," said a Hanjin spokesman.
Hanjin Shipping will continue to work on maintaining and enhancing safety, environmental protection and quality standards by investing Won11 billion over the next 5 years.
