Container terminal operating companies' council takes off

Six container dedicated terminal operating companies set up a council under the Korea Harbor Transportation Association on June 18. This council will have a main body under the KHTA and local branches will be established in Pusan and Yeosu.

It will consist of the Korea Container Transportation Co., Ltd., Korea Express, the Dongbu Corporation, the Global Corporation, Hanjin Shipping, and Hyundai Merchant Marine.

It will be involved in affairs concerning stevedoring tariff notices for container dedicated terminal improvements, fair business practices between operating companies, an anti-dumping campaign, and data distribution about container dedicated terminals.
