MOMAF Holds "International Sea Accident Investigation Forum"
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MOMAF) will host the 1
0th International Sea Accident Investigation Forum in 2001. It will be
held in Seoul from Oct. 15th to the 19th, 2001.
The forum was established in June 1992 to engender international coope
ration regarding international sea accidents. Membership has grown fro
m the 20 initial member states, to 34. Each member state maintains an
international sea accident investigator center.
MOMAF handed in a letter of intent at the 9th forum held in Belize, wh
ich was held from Aug. 7th to the 11th, 2000. MOMAF received unanimous
support from the forum members.
