CYL agrees to slot exchange with Dongyoung
ChoYang Shipping decided to reopen its Korea/Japan trade service recently and came to an agreement for mutual slot exchanges with Dongyoung Shipping starting July 18.
As agreed with Dongyoung Shipping, CYL will restart Hanshin area services calling at Pusan, Osaka, Kobe and Pusan, starting with the 'Korean Master' on July 18. And on July 21, Dongyoung shipping will deploy the 'Pegasus Pride' in the trade.
In addition, Keihin trade calling at Pusan, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya and Pusan will start with the 'Pegasus Plenty', owned by Dongyoung shipping, beginning July 20. The 'Korean Pearl' from Cho Yang will also sail in a weekly fixed day service from July 21.
This will enable Choyang Line to post a thrice weekly service in both Hanshin and Keihin trade. Now the company is only concentrating on collecting cargoes after finishing appointing an agency in Japan and negotiating terminal tariffs with an amicable Japanese terminal industry.
