[ VIET PORTEX ’95 in Ho Chi Minh City successfully completed ]

The 1st International Exibition for Port and Waterway Construction, Sh
ipbuilding and Trnasport, the Viet Portex ’95, closed after four succ
essful days on Nov. 24th in Ho Chi Minh City. This show was organized
by Hamburg Messe in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Indus
try of Vietnam and supported by the Vietnam National Maritime Bureau.
40 exhibitors from 11 nations presented their products and services to
4,500 Vietnamese and international professionals. All important ports
of vietnam and Japanese and U.S. delegations attended the show, Germa
ny and Russia participated with a national pavilion.
An additional conference and a visit to Saigon Port were further highl
ights at Viet Portex ’95. Exhibitors stated to be very satisfied and
most of them decided right on the last exibition day to join next year
s Viet Portex from Nov. 26~29, 1996 in Hanoi.
