APL to Transport an Entire “Touring Entertainment Event” to
Singapore for Disney Entertainment Projects
DisneyFest is Largest Traveling Show to Hit Asia-소 타이틀

APL Limited always said it can ship virtually any containerized
freight anywhere in the Pacific.
“Even DisneyFest, the largest touring entertainment event ever to
hit Asia, complete with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Simba the Lion
King, and operating under two 4,000-square-meter, climate-controlled
superstructures?”asked Disney Entertainment Pojects(Asia
Pacific)Inc.
“And can you get all 1,000 tons of equipment from Disney’s staging
area in Burbank(near Los Angeles) to Singapore during August, in time
for stt-up and rehearsals by Oct. 1, and an Oct. 30 grand opening?
And then on to other major cities of Asia on an itinerary that has
yet to be finalized but will be equally rigorous?”
APL’s shipping unit promised to do its best, and based on a solid
149-year track record in the Pacific, won-from the world’s biggest
name in entertainment-the highest-profile and most unusual load of
cargo it has yet to carry.
Disney Entertainment Projects’ collapsed DisneyFest superstructures,
along with high-tech equipment for stage shows, interactive games for
the play areas, comtumes and props, will have a comfortable journey,
well protected in APL’s 40-foot shipping containers. Many of the
Disney characters and exhibits have been specially designed to be
inflatable for mobility. And the 45-foot long ribs that form the
spines of the tents will be carried in special cradles aboard the
ship.
