[ HMM to Launch High-quality Frozen Cargo Service ]

It is known that Hyundai Merchant Marine Co.,(HMM) secured 840 reefer
containers, which were able to regulate the temperature and humidity,
from Sabroe Reefer Cool A/S in Denmark.
As compared to existing reefer containers which have the function only
to maintain a termperature of sub-zero, new reefer container which
is capable of regulating humidity as well will ensure a safe transport
of sophiscated products such as parts of computer and cold-storage cargo
such as garlic and ginger, dried skinned ginseng, which are sensi-
tive to moisture.
Furthermore, HMM say that by securing the container which can control
not only temperature and humidity but also air, they will guarantee the
safe carriage of such fruits, citrus etc which are open to easy dete-
riation.
In the meanwhile, new reefer containers which HMM is holding are coming
to around 4700 boxes which account for 8 percent of approximately
60,000 container boxes in total.
